Just seeking others' opinions as to how they view birthdays.

I am a bit of a birthdayholic, I love them and not just my own. Hubby reckons I remember everbody's and their dog's. He hates them. It's his birthday later this month and I asked him last night if there was anything he wanted me to get for him, his response that it was just another day and he didn't want anything not even a card. I like celebrating the fact that the people I love and care about were born on a particular day and like to make them feel special and cared about. It is hard for me to ignore my significant other's special day but I suppose I should honour his wishes
