The ebay seller of the tweezerman tweezers I recently purchased also had this, so of course my fragile, brittle nails yelled at me to get it. The reviews on Amazon look pretty good, too.
www.amazon.com/Duri-Rejuvacote-0-50-Grow...201973171&sr=8-1 I was especially intrigued by the nurse who said she's used for 2 years....then again it could be a fake review.
The ingredients are:
ethyl acetate, n-butyl acetate, nitrocellulous, toluenesulfonamide/formaldehyde resin, dibutylphthalate, isopropyl alcohol, camphor, calcium pantothenate*, gelatin, hydrolized keratin protein
*calcium pantothenate is also known as Vitamin B5
The directions are: Begin with clean dry nails. Apply one coat of Rejuvacote as base coat. Apply nail color if desired. Apply Rejuvacote as top coat daily. After 7 days, remove with polish remover. As your nails improve, apply every other day or as needed.
Apparently, this formula is suppose to bind the nail layers together to resist peeling, chipping, and splitting. I'm currently on day three, so can't give a review for or against yet. Another brand that is similar, but without tolene is Nailtiques Nail Protein Formulas found at Walgreens. More expensive though.
Whatcha think?
