I just received the book and I'm a little confused about identifying my skin type. Six months ago, I would have said that I was ORPW, although not too many Ws yet

However, I started using a 1% Retin-a treatment several months and now I am definitely dry after cleansing, but shiny by midday and sometimes flaky when I wake up. I'm pigmented from past sun exposure, large pores (my biggest issue!), upper lip discoloration from birth control, slight wrinkling around the eyes, laugh line and forehead. I'm 48, olive-complexed, so medium to dark skin toned. Live in South Florida and now use sun protection.

When I read the recommendations fro ORPW, I think, wow, that would really strip out my skin moisture, given what the condition is now.

How do I identify my skin type - pre or post retin-a? Should I now consider myself DRPW??
