I'm posting this on the "General" Board because I thought it might be helpful for any skin type. At my recent dermatologist visit, I was telling my derm that I was having problems finding a moisturizer that was moisturizing enough but did not allow shine through my foundation. She gave me a sample of a moisturizer that they sell: PCA Skin. Phaze 7 is what she gave me, and it has an SPF of 25 with a nice matte finish. I've worn it for two days now, and it really works great. It still allows a nice finish but no shine throughout the day.

They have a Phaze 6 for dryer skin. This is their website:
www.pcaskin.com/homecare.html
I noticed they have products for men, too. They're fragrance free without additives known to cause skin irritation.

It looks like you can buy it several places online or at your dermatologists office.

Wow, thanks NickNack! I'm finding I can only use the Philiosphy Pigment of Imagination with a powder foundation because of that. Even then, it creeps through. I do like that SPF, but it might be better for Winter. Let me know if it keeps agreeing with your skin. I would probably go for the Phaze6.

Thanks for the recommendation! I haven't found a sunscreen I like yet because all of them are so shiny and make my powder foundation disappear in no time at all. I definitely would like to try this one -- "matte finish" is music to my ears!

I'm going to pick up the Physician's Formula sunscreen in a powder compact today (has spf 20 embossed right on the powder cake) and try that out. Even if I don't use it daily, I'll still keep it with me in case I need an spf fix in a hurry and the products are not that expensive anyway to experiment with. I'll certainly have to check out the PCA moisturizer though. There is also a Dermalogica sunscreen booster that you can mix a couple of drops to your normal moisturizer. Saw that in the new Allure, I think. Anyone ever try this out?

Fabulous NickNack!! I was just going to post to this board asking if anyone had a good recommendation for matte sunscreen. I'm using Purpose Redness Reducing moisturizer SPF 30 (recommended for OSPW) but it's just too shiny. I feel like an oil slick by 10am.
I'm with Gail, matte is music to my ears! Definitely going to try this one.
I'll let you all know what I think.
Thanks again!!
