There is an article in my local paper today that the FDA is proposing a ban on over-the-counter sales of skin-lightening products, many of which contain hydroquinone. Hydroquinone is a possible carcinogen also linked to a skin-disfiguring condition according to the article, altho' the actual risk is unknown. They propose these products be restricted to prescription use. Buy now while you can if you use these!
