TOPIC: A nice sunscreen for those who can't tolerate chemical sunscreens...

A nice sunscreen for those who can't tolerate chemical sunscreens... 5 years, 9 months ago #606

It's called Fallene SPF 58. It has Zinc and Titanium Dioxide and it's tinted, so it doesn't leave much of a white cast. It actually seems to give a bit of coverage without feeling heavy at all. The zinc in it feels a bit soothing too.

I normally use sunscreen with the mexoryl, but stumbled upon this one and have been trying it out over the past few days.  I'll use it on days when I don't get much sun exposure, including the rainy days we've been having lately.

The only downfall, it's a tad expensive, $23  for 2.5 oz.

Just in case anyone's interested, I figured I'd post it here.

Thanks, I had not heard of this one. I'd like to look into it. Where did you find it?

Thanks ... I'd also like to know where you found it.

Lately I've been using Clinique's City Block SPF 40 .. I like it a lot -- it doesn't feel the least bit greasy, and it's tinted a bit so it's not all white. My skin feels really good and smooth with it on. Yesterday I just wore that, no makeup, and my face felt great all day.

I got it at drugstore.com. It's called Fallene Cotz SPF 58. I originally saw it at Eckerd pharmacy (now CVS) a year or too ago, but didn't buy it since it was pricey.

for more info, you can check out www.totalblock.com. I don't know that I'd go as far as saying, "the most protective sunblock available" as it says on the site, but it is a good choice for those who can't tolerate chemical sunscreens.

I couldn't find it at CVS last week, so I just ordered it from drugstore.com. If you spend over $25, I think shipping is free too.
