A person on another forum (QVC - Beauty) said a recent order from MedsMex had been confiscated. She learned this through receiving a letter from the US Customs folks.

I currently have an order in with them for TriLuma -- it is so expensive here! Bought from MedsMex for some time now and no problems.

Have any of you heard about confiscation either from the Canada or the Mexico side?

Thanks.

I haven't specifically heard of this but am not surprised. It's illegal (I believe) to bring prescription meds (bought in another country) into the US. That would make it illegal to order them from another country also.

I agree that the meds like TriLuma and Renova are expensive. However, when you consider that they last a year or more (my first tube of Renova, which I use every night, is lasting me over a year), it's less expensive than most other products I have used. Besides that, it really works!

Well wouldn't this just be the poops.
My order was charged to my credit card on July 12th. It was my first order for Renova.

When you heard from Customs that your order was confiscated, were you able to get a refund?

Wild, considering my b/f brought back prescription SOMA from Mexico and we told the customs people we had it and they let it go.

It wasn't my order. It was something reported on another forum, another group. It was a fairly long and complicated thread, with other topics included, so I'd rather not try and summarize as may get it wrong. There was some mention of a refund but not clear to me.

I don't follow the general issue of buying prescription meds outside the USA too much, but I do know it is an issue on which various groups have strong opinions. I understand that for people with fixed incomes and expensive (life saving) meds, the costs can wreck havoc with their budgets. I think I recall reading more stringent enforcement on the Canadian side, and many people protesting, but wasn't paying too much attention.

Was just curious if anyone here was having problems buying out of Mexico. Please let me know if your latest order arrives. I placed mine on July 18.

My order came today just fine. I wrote to Medsmex and asked a general question about customs. They said 3 things could occur...
Nothing...you get it no problem
It's seized, reviewed and then delivered
or
it's just not delivered at all and customs gives you a letter and then Medsmex refunds you 100 percent
They also said that they do not try any hide and conceal program. I guess there are a couple of other Mexican med sites but MEDSMEX.COM is where I ordered my Renova. They charged my card on 7/12 and it arrived today 7/31
