TOPIC: Anyone try any of the Skinceuticals sunscreens?

Anyone try any of the Skinceuticals sunscreens? 5 years, 10 months ago #562

I was interested particularly in the Physical UV Defense 30, and Ultimate UV Defense 30.

I've been using two different ones from Europe that I really like (the LRP Anthelios Dermo Peds Lotion, and Vichy Ultra Fluide) They protect really well in the everyday FL sun, but we're thinking of trying for baby #3 and I'm trying to cut down on all the chemicals I'm always slathering on myself. LOL. Especially since I use this stuff on my chest, and sometimes arms too.

I'm sure the chemicals are safe. It's just a mindset thing I guess...

I've tried Blue Lizard Baby and it seemed whitening and greasy on me. I've read that the Skinceuticals ones are not as whitening, but wanted any experiences. I also saw one, Total Color Protector by MD Formulations that is tinted and has 7.5% Zinc Oxide and 7.5% octylmethoxycinnamate (yes, a a chemical I know, but it's hard to find ones with none at all)

The US ones with Avobenzone seem okay in summer, but when I get drier in winter they sometimes sting. And of course they have the chemical filters.

Or just tell me I'm being too paranoid. You'd think I was going for my first here, but this is #3!! LOL!
Marcy - age 39
D in winter, O in summer
R but if I"m not careful I can become an S
P
W
occasional breakouts, but more hormonal in the jaw/upper neck area
