Hello all,
I decided to post here in general as i have a few q's that hopefully someone can help with! I haven't posted for a few years but I am having a few(!) and there are quite a few questions in here so hopefully you can stick with me in this post and pass on some much needed and appreciated advice!

Although my score says OSPW, I retested with the book the other day and came out as
D-23, S-43, P, W. (My previous O was 26 and S was a bit lower, from a few years ago).
I am half italian, tan easily, but also get marks from acne, sores etc. I don't really have any visible wrinkles but have been a sunbaker in the past so bad things are coming!!!

I returned (10 months ago now) from 10months in the hot, humid Sth American climate to a dry, cold Melbourne, Aus winter, and my skin has just been a mess ever since!
I have been seeing a derm for 4 months for: inflammed body eczema, mild scalp dermitis and mild acne, joy! Body eczema is most likely to the severe weather change but also, ALOT of stress. I have finished UV treatment, and eczema has reduced dramatically.
I am now on minocycline too for the acne and I am using the Neutrogena T-Gel for shampoo.

I never have to blot, I have blackheads on my nose, and some on my chin and occasionally on edge of lip, mouth. I also have these other things on my chin, when i put my tongue down into that skin and stretch my chin skin i have bumps, that I can if i'm naughty squeeze hard white stuff out of, not fluid pus, its hard white.
I have mild acne on my chin and around mouth/ nose area.

What is the cause of acne in dry people?
Is my nose and chin classed as oily?
What are the bumps on my chin when i push the skin out(!) and what is there cause?

Also how do i have acne and eczema, Dr.B lists acne as common with rosacea, but not with eczema as:
acne is associated with oily and eczema with dry!

Ok so part two...
I used differin cream on my face the other night, as rec by my derm and have previously used.
I was perhaps a little overzealous with the application, but my entire face now has patches of inflammed, swollen, red, rough, flaky, stinging areas. I realise i put waaay to much on and for the first time in a year was not a great idea, but i now can only put on antiox serum without stinging, neutrogena gentle cleanser even burned the hell out of me, can't use any moisturiser with parabens either as that made me sting. So yes lessened learned!
Is differin still an ok retinol for me if I apply it appropraitely?

Also I have using Olay regenerist serum fragrence free, I used it for 3 days and was flaky, rough so stopped for a few days and skin settled.
Is this a normal reaction to this serum, could it be the Vit B? And i just need to be patient with it (P.S this was prior to the retinol incident so I think added to that reaction)

Part 3!
I basically need an entire new regime! I am obviously now dry-ish in parts and my sensitivity has increased gone crazy!
I can only use tit diox, zinc sunscreen, and also react to Paulas BHA lotions, think i need to try the liquid (i read this here about people reacting to allotin or something in the lotion).
My current regime(if you can call it that is)
AM
Neutrogena gentle cleanser
Paulas Hydralight Lotion or Paulas Hydration cream depending on skin
Olay regenerist serum
Foundation with spf 15
PM
Neutrogena gentle cleanser
Neutrgena make up remover
Paulas hydralight lotion of hydration cream depending on skin
Olay regenerist serum

Additional things inlcude: Bezyl Peroxide 2.5% on spots only and nose creases, differin-nearly started, BHA 1% lotion-stopped using recently.

I am thinking...
AM
Cleanse-Paulas skin recover, or LPR Toleraine
Serum- Resist Antiox serum and regenerist serum (both?)
BHA- 2%liquid on nose and chin
Moisture- ?
SPF- Try blue lizard spf 30 with antiox, or Paulas Mineral sunscreen

PM
Cleanse-Paulas skin recover or LPR Toleraine
Serum- Paulas Resist Serum & Regenerist serum (both?)
Retinol- Every 2nd or 3rd day
Moisturiser-?

Blue Lizard, and PAulas mineral sunscreen will have to be oreded in US and sent to me by friend as we can't get them here. LPR can be ordered on net.

Whaaaaaoooo!!! I hope you are still here and can understand some/ any of that!!!
Its a mess, my face is a mess , but i am determined to get there soon!
Thankyou!!!!
Lauren
