I've recently been diagnosed with skin writing disease. The allergist called it Dermographism and the dermatologist called it Dermatographism. I'm not sure if there's a difference between them.
The itchiness is well controlled with antihistimines. My make-up brushes and the lightest pressure with a make-up sponge leave red splotches and streaks on my face. It only lasts for 30 minutes or so but it's frustrating trying to get the make-up on with extra redness making it look ridiculous. I still have some redness from rosacea so this isn't much fun.
Has anyone had this? Since it can last months or years, and it's been 5 months already, giving up make-up isn't an option. I used Bare Escentuals this morning instead of liquid but the brushes left marks I didn't expect. Softer brushes sounds like the answer but if they're too soft they won't work well.
Any suggestions? At this point even an "ah, poor baby" might help. I'm so frustrated I don't know what to do.
