I would think so. To get higher UVA ratings sunscreens need to include higher concentrations of UVA filters. So, it stands to reason that if you apply less than the amount used in testing (2mg/cm2 - 1/4 tsp for an average face) the UVA protection will be lower.
Josh / 41 / male / DSPW-OSPW / Acne and clog prone / sensitive. Switching up my routine as I'm living in a new country (Malta) and the change in climate, water and diet is causing my skin to play up.
