Hi Rufusdog - think about this - your face is out in all weathers, whereas the neck area is usually covered in Winter and then doesn't quite tan as well as the face during Summer, unless you're lying flat with your neck up to the sun. also, as your skin type includes pigmented, then obviously that's a result of the sun, and therefore your face will obviously be darker in some areas than others. As a beauty therapist, I always encourage clients to use bronzer on the neck rather than foundation, and match your face foundation to the colour of your jaw bone, as this will be probably closest to the colour of your neck. Sounds confusing? Try to use foundation that doesn't mask the colour of your skin, especially now that it's summer. The heavier the make-up, the more obvious that you're trying to hide something (eg. pigment). Hope that adds a new dimension to your confusion!!
