I tried finding products that would have a higher concentration of retinaldehyde, but the only one I find is the Avene retrinal, which comes in two strengths. I used them both and I've never had any reaction to it.
I used retinol based products until recently (2 weeks ago). I transitioned from Replenix 5X to 10X. I probably used the 10x twice in a week and not much after, my skin around the mouth and on the chin got red, irritated, and very flaky. I had this problem a long time ago when I tried the Skinceutical 1, but I wasn't expecting this with the Replenix.
Since this reaction didn't happen with the Avene retrinal, I thought I would try a stronger product that has the retinaldehyde, but I can't find any. If any of you know something available, please let me know. Thanks!
