Hi Everyone, I love this forum, but have not been on in a long time.
I recently restarted Retin-A gel .025% and have been on it now for about 10 weeks. I built up my usage very gradually and so far am tolerating it okay except for one thing...my skin feels super super thin. I know retiniods are supposed to thin the stratum corneum but thicken the dermis. I even found a similar concern in this post :

I guess my question is, do I have to hang in there longer? When will I notice my skin thickening up a bit? I didn't have this issue last time I used retinoids (3 years ago - I stopped because I got pregnant and was nursing).
I just want to make sure what I'm experiencing is normal. I do notice that I cannot use Retin-A around my eyes, it literally makes me look 80, since the skin there is even thinner.
I just wanted to add that I prefer the gel vs. the cream because I am very prone to clogged pores and congestion.
Any input? Thanks for your help!
