Hi All,

I have never had a cold sore/fever blister until one started to develop late last evening. It started as a very small bump of swelling last night, but I didn't know what it was. When I woke up this morning, the swollen area had tripled in size, and the area felt sort of numbish/tingly.

I actually called my doctor this morning to speak to his nurse just to confirm if that is what is developing on my upper lip. They said to get some Abreva at the drug store and follow the directions on the package.

Do any of you have other alternative treatments that you would recommend? I am just shocked that this thing has come out of no where because I feel great and I don't have cold symptoms.

It would be just my luck to have one of these things develop out of the blue right before a holiday.

Smiles, Mee
