Help!! After I started going to law school and turned 30 I started to blemishes that leave a red mark and WILL NOT go away!!

The book gives suggestions for skin type-specific products to lessen pigmentation. Also, using a sunscreen will help shield the marks.

Yup, the book talks about products that contain hydroquinone. I believed Dr. Baumann recommends Tri-Luma. You could either get an Rx from a dermatologist or order it online. That contains 4% hydorquinone. If you want to try something over the counter, there's Porcelana, Esoterica or Ambi, that I know of. Those are 2% and you won't be as proned to seeing results. For acne scars, you can expect a good couple weeks to fade. I second the tip to use SPF. Sun "tatoos" any sort of scar. Good luck!

Kristy, I don't know what your skin type is, but for the OSPW type, Dr. B. also recommends (in non-prescription items) Skin Effects Advanced Brightening Complex, a gel formula which is 2% hydroquinone and is carried by CVS (1 oz. - $19.99).

Hi, Kristy,
I'm very new at this, but have tried the Skin Effects brand (@CVS)  lightening gel, mentioned above.   After only about 10 days, I can definitely see a difference...(unfortunately, some of what those dark patches were covering are not any prettier!  Spider veins, etc.)  But there is help and hope for those, too.
I am so glad Dr. Baumann has made this forum available.  For the first time in years, I know what my skin needs!
