I purchased a retinol product (Afirm 2x), and would like to following the good Dr.'s advice mentioned in the book. Instead of mixing it with a serum, would it be appropriate to mix it with my moisturizer instead? (I would rather not purchase another product). I am currently using L'Oreal Dermo-Expertise Futur-e Moisturizer. (i am OSNT)

Hi Killu

I just got the Afirm 2x last week; I read on the package insert it says to wait 20 minutes after applying the retinol before putting on moisturizer -- it seemed to me that you are not supposed to mix it with anything going on the skin? (I could be wrong)

Dr. B recommends in the DRPW section to apply a retinol containing moisturizer and then a night cream (if dark spots then can also apply the lightener/serum beforehand-I waited 20 minutes both before and after the retinol) Not sure if that's necessary but I do anyway..check out the DRPW section of the book..
