Have scheduled an appointment with a derm to discuss IPL for my rosacea. But I've found out that the derm herself doesn't do the laser or IPL - she gives a consultation and prescriptions, but her laser technicians carry out the procedure. She says she has personally trained the technicians. My question is, is this normal procedure? Don't the derms do the actual treatments themselves? Would it be safe to trust a laser technician, even if well-trained? Your views would be very helpful as I'm now quite worried. If it turns out to be a normal procedure, I would feel better!
