Hi! I have just had a major bad reaction from Differin, which brought on a terrible rosacea flare - stinging, burning, bright red face - after I thought I'd had it under control. So I guess I won't be able to use a retinoid. Which is a pity, as I've noticed some wrinkles lately that I'd like to work on, round eyes and mouth. But not worth risking another blad flare-up. Question: has anyone had a bad reaction like this? would a retinol be mild enough for someome with very sensitive, rosacean skin? And what about Relastin - it sounds interesting, but has anyone had a bad reaction with it?
Any help much appreciated!
Following book's recs. has improved my skin a lot and until I tried the Differin had been flare-free for a while.
One advantage - have not been able to sunbathe for many years, and I think my very pale skin looks better as a result!
O-31:S-55:N-13:W-41. Moderate rosacea, flushing and stinging subtype with ocular rosacea. Many chemical allergies. Damaged, thin skin.
