I am almost out of my EA capsules and need an affordable replacement, I cannot fork out $60 right now. Has anyone used the Olay regenerist serum (fragrance free).

Yes.
I like it very well. It has been a while since I used EA Capsules, so I can't compare Olay Serum to them adequately (I remember liking the capsules), more recently I had used Paula's Choice Super Antioxidant Serum, but I like the Olay Regenerist much better. It penetrates faster, and feels less 'slimy'.
I can definatley recommend the Olay Serum.

My friend's derm just recommended this to her. I tried it a couple of times, but my oily skin didn't tolerate it very well. I have heard stellar reviews of this product, though (esp. for dry/drier skin types).

I would definitely recommend the Olay Regenerist Serum. At the time I bought Dr. Baumann's book, my face was definitely oily but I had redness, dry spots and flakes as well. Most likely because I was using all the wrong products. The Olay Serum saved me. Sarahbelle is right. It penetrates well and it doesn't feel slimy. It cured my flaky dry spots and has calmed my skin significantly. I hope it works for you too. Good Luck.

I'll join the group recommending the Olay Regenerist Serum -- I LOVE IT! I'm so disgustingly oily on my t-zone, I rarely use it there other than at night with my retinol product, but my cheeks are normal and I use it there during the day. It feels wonderful and does the job without being heavy or pore-clogging.
