SO I rechecked my scores and it's telling me that I'm non-pigmented. I have tons of freckles (all over my body), yet I'm somewhat light (not casper white fair, but I am caucasion). If I go out in the sun w/o sunscreen, I will burn. Eventually, I do tan but it was a long & slow process. I guess I assumed that freckles meant I was pigmented. Any insights?

Amy,
At the risk of sounding like a smart a$$, have you read chapter 14? My understanding from your posts are you are like me - a DSNW.
Chapter 14 will tell you what you need to know. Again, what did your score tell you? If borderline of non to pigmented then read both chapter 14 and 15 and see if that helps with you tie breaker. Beginning on page 373 is info called Further Help for Dry/Sensitive Skin.

Actually, I read all the chapters pertaining to oily & resistant. THe two things I'm sure of is that I'm oily and resistant. I could exfoliate with tree bark and be fine. My friend tried Kinerase eye cream at sephora (supposed to be one of the best for sensitive) and her eye started getting all red. We are total opposites in that regard.

Just didn't know if lots of freckles "automatically" placed me in the pigmented group or not.

I was actually wondering that too... cause I have the exact same pigmentation that you described... with the freckles all over, white skin and the burning and all that stuff.

but I THINK it depends on what you want to focus on.  Like, if the freckles bother you and you want to limit their visibility, or if you have any sunspots you don't like then read up on pigmentation.  But if you get flushes and other things associated with non-pigmented then maybe you'd want to focus on those chapters. so it all depends on what you want your skin to look like.

but if anybody else has a better answer, that would be great too. lol
