Just got & read the book yesterday. I am having problems figuring out the last part--wrinkled vs. tight. The women in my family (their skin, anyway) tends to look 5-10 yrs younger. I did go to tanning beds back in high school & I smoked in college--I no longer do any of these & that was 10-15 yrs ago. I'm 34 w/no wrinkles, yet. I'm a somewhat fair, freckly caucasian with light brown/dark blond hair. I do burn, but eventually I can tan (though it was never a dark tan). So, I figure I'm either an ORPT or ORPW. I know it measure my future ability to wrinkle, but I'm still "on the fence". I think I look my age or perhaps a little younger. I went to visit a derm last week who did say that I had really good skin. I eat lots of fruits & veggies now, but not so much in the past. Anyway, thanks for any help you could give to a newbie!

It said wrinkled, but I was confused because I no longer smoke or go to tanning beds. I can't remember my exact score, but it was close to the lower end of wrinkled.

My W score is 49 (not sure where that puts me on the scale). I also smoked in college and had a bad tanning record as a kid/youg adult, not in beds but going to the beach/pool. I seem to remember one or 2 of the questions when I didn't feel like there was an exact answer for me, so I erred on the side of caution and scored myself higher (like if I were between answers, I'd pick the higher scored one). One of those I think was the smoking question. I think there's a differnce between someone who smoked for a couple of years and quit and someone who smoked for decades and quit. Anyway, if I were you, I'd go for the W recs and you can think of it as prevention for future wrinkles, but read the OSPT chapter and see what you can learn from that, too. I think I have read all of the OS chapters and gotten something from each that I've found helpful.

The W does not mean that you are doing something currently to cause wrinkling in smoking/sunning, but just means that if you were you COULD wrinkle.
If you scored there then I would stay there.
I am a DSNW, but havent sunned in years, with exception of my daughters soccer games
I have never smoked.
But according the historical/family history questions I have a higher propensity to wrinkle. I am 42 but my skin says much younger.
