In searching on the boards about the use of witch hazel, I noticed this comment

"The biggest problem most people are likely to experience is dryness and irritation from formulas which are more alcohol based, but these days those can be avoided."

I bought some at the drugstore yesterday and noticed when I used it last night that my face felt very, very tight and itchy. The bottle said Distilled Witchhazel and I don't remember the alcohol content. Can a person with dry skin benefit from witch hazel? My main reason for using is that I have noticed some say that it helps to make pores less noticeable. Anyone got any particular suggestion for brand?
