Many of us have started treating our skin with very basic approaches and products. In other words, as Josh's signature quote states: "Start treating the O and the S ( of the OSPW )" and leave off the anti-aging treatments. There seems no better time than the present to return to basics, given the economic state of the world. A return to common sense may take time and patience, given the worldwide lack of it, but is worth the effort. Learning to like our basic selves, aging and all, is part of this too.
I am treating my O-S-N and letting good health and common sense, as opposed to subjecting my skin to acidic products, take care of the W. Common sense here means wearing a sunscreen ( and taking Vitamin D or eating D-rich foods ) and/or avoiding direct sunlight when the sun is high. I wear a hat, though my scalp gets warm. Ski Bunnies like sunny ski days, so I look like an alien being in my helmet, face protector and goggles. All for the benefit of healthy skin.
My skin is way too S to tolerate the retinol, retinoid, azaleic acid products I've tried, so finding a gentler way is a necessity.

Clinique has just come out with a new anti-aging product. Sirtuin technology is a new thing that we - and our wallets - will be subjected to next. OMG, stop it.
It's another one of their *patent pending* forumlas, which makes me wonder about all the other patent pending products they've hawked at us over the years. Is Turnaround Cream patented or not??? Remember, it was one of their first *patent pending* products. I've not heard. lol.

How nice could the world be if we all stopped being fearful, greedy and just returned to basics.

D 23 - S 52 - N 23 - W 51. Turning 58 in January. My skin is healthier than ever thanks to the skin type solution, avoiding rosacea triggers, healthy diet and lifestyle. Live in Colorado and outdoors a lot, so sun avoidance is difficult and use no less than SPF 30 daily and 60 to 100 outdoors...which is often.Keeping skin barrier intact is a must. Love all my virtual skin friends at STS!
