Q: Hello Dr. Baumann, Happy New Year Can Retin-A be applied around the eye area? If not what would you recommend for fine lines around the eyes. I have oily sensitive skin. Thanks.

A: Yes it can. Dilute it 1/2 with your moisturizer and apply once a week in the beginning and slowly work your way to every night. Or- you can use a retinol like Roc correxion first and then use diluted Retin A."

Has annyone tried it?

Yesterday a tried it... But I mixed the tretinoin cream (Vitanol-A 0.025%) with petroleum jelly... Unfortunately it didn't mix well. Maybe because the Vitanol-A Cream has a lot of silicones (I think petroleum can't be mixed with silicones).
