At my annual Derm check up, my Derm's PA was concerned about my pink cheeks. I do have some broken capillaries on the sides of my nose and some that she attributed to sun damage on the sides of my face. She hinted that my cheeks flushing could be early rosacea but didn't diagnose it. I have noticed little breakouts on them if I use mineral make up on them, but otherwise, no breakouts. Since reading the book, I've realized that my flushing was caused by Cerave...which causes stinging for me. Since switching to Eucerin Redness Relief line and treating my skin as dry rather than oily (and the harsh ingredients that were upsetting my sensitive skin), the redness is nearly gone. I am very fair, so the change is obvious.
Anyway, I do get slightly pink when working out, and am now very concerned about controlling that. If I do have early rosacea, getting overheated could make it worse? Is that true? Do you have any suggestions? She recommended exercising in a cool room (I workout at home and it's winter here...furnace blasting), but I was wondering if a cool cloth to press gently on my cheeks would be helpful too.
Thanks in advance!
