I got the book yesterday and did the questionnaire. When I got to the TW section I got a little confused. Is a line the same thing as a wrinkle? Please forgive my stupidity. Thanks for any help!

not stupid at all..I have crow's feet around eyes and a few small lines around mouth,as well as a deep crease between eyes, but,I guess I would refer to them, generally speaking, as wrinkles..

I think they are the same. A wrinkle, if there is plumper skin around it, may appear to "fold" while a line doesn't, but I think that is only due to the location and depth. I consider any "crease" in the skin, that doesn't immediately go away (like when a child smiles) a wrinkle in dermatology type purposes.

Hi - just adding my agreement! When I took the questionnaire I considered a line on my forehead a wrinkle (and it seems I've had it forever, not from age), as well as two little fine lines near my mouth. My husband and daughter scoffed (affectionately) when they heard me refer to them as wrinkles, but for the purpose of the questionnaire / typing, they are - and what else would they be? As it is, I score as a T but am basically following W regimens. Over the past few years I have not been terribly responsible about sunscreen use when hiking - have always reapplied at the beach, but have rarely remembered to reapply on all day hikes I figure I have set myself up for some W...

Hi!

I think the not-so-technical definition of a wrinkle is 'Any line/fold/crease/crinkle that you see on your face which you (and not someone else) don't think enhances your looks and which you want to GO AWAY IMMEDIATELY'
