We have been bombarded with spam over the past couple of days.

I've sent an email to Roger Baumann suggesting he upgrade the forum software again as there's a new version with security fixes.

I've also suggested he look at the permissions in the settings to see if there's an option to not allow people to post links until they have X number of posts behind them. If it is in this forum software (it is in many others), it can make a huge difference as if the spammers know they can't post a link, they generally don't waste their time.

In the meanwhile, if you do report a post using the "report to moderator" link please also reply to the spam by saying "reported" so that others don't waste their time also reporting the same post.

Also, do not under any circumstances click on any of the links in the spam posts! Some of them could lead to sites which might try to install trojans or other nasty programs on your computer and even for those that don't, we don't want to give these scum-sucking-pigs (oops, I mean spammers) the satisfaction of them gaining anything by spamming our forum.

Hopefully, if they have anything even remotely resembling intelligence, they'll realise they're wasting their time here and move on.

Thanks.
