I just heard about The Skin Type Solution and want to run out and buy it...but for all the good reviews, it seems there are almost as many bad.  I guess I'll just keep reading through as many posts as I can...
I'm wondering, does the book address combo skin?  It seems like it's dry or oily...and my tzone is as oily as can be but my cheeks are parched.   ???

It is a great book with a lot of information. There are product recommendations, skin types, prescriptions, etc.

Give it a shot.

Gretsch,

I've purchased a lot of cosmetic and skin care "crap" in my day. I've had this book for 3 months now. (usually that's enough time for me to either regret or applaude my purchases) I'm still loving this book. She DOES categorize people into dry or oily but it's on a scale and YOU determine, through YOUR answers, where you fall on that scale.

Bottom line, this book is sold at Sam's Club for less than $12. How can you NOT afford it?? I'm sure you've splurged on less worthy indulgences.

I say go for it. Just my 2 cents. (now you only need $11.98 more)

Hi Gretch,
Yes the DR. does have tips on combination skin, it just depends on whether you fall into the slightly Oily or slightly Dry category and of course dependant on the other categories. But it is a fantastic book and my skin is looking wonderful!!! ;D

Thanks for all the advice...I did get the book! I am a OSPW, but I definitely have a lot of questions. Looking forward to getting into the book and also this forum.
