Thanks so much for all the very useful replies to my questions. I'm a newcomer to skincare issues and products so I'm afraid I can't provide much advice in response to your questions. I read them, though and will eventually learn about skin care.

So, here's the concern I have. I have combination skin that's very prone to acne and very oily in the jawline and nose area. It's very fair too so I have dark spots caused by exposure to sun in childhood and acne scars...(well, I don't know if they are scars or not,,,they are brownish redish spots). I have been using Renova both for dark spots and to control acne in oily areas. I also use salycilic Neutragena pads to cleanse my face at night b/c otherwise I get lots of blackheads on my nose and sorrounding areas. I apply mosturizer every day. I've tried many (Olay Definity lotion, Neutrogena, L'oreal, Aveeno and Boscia). The problem is that my skin is always dehidrated and peeling off A LOT especially the nose (where I do not apply Renova at night!!). My nose peals off so much that even when I wear foundation, people have asked me what's happened. I don't know which mosturizer to use since I'm so acne-prone and all the ones I've tried produce breakouts and blackheads or do not hydrate my skin at all.
