Dr. Baumann or anyone who is familiar with the thermage procedure:

I recently had a thermage treatment. It has been about three months. At first it seemed to tighten the skin. Now it is loose again and very lumpy. Is there a way to get the lumps to go away? I have read that this side effect is temporary at a couple of websites, but it doesn't say how long or if there is a way to get rid of them. One site said to rub them every night. I can't see how this will help. I guess the collagen just grew back irregular. My skin texture seemed to change as well - not for the good. If you are ever thinking of having a thermage treatment - don't. It has terrible side effects. Please let me know if you know of any way to correct this problem.

I had a Thermage treatment on my saddlebags a few weeks ago. I am really unsure if it has done anything, but the aesthetician said to wait six months to see the full results. Given the expense, I wished I had waited for more research on its efficacy.

I hope it turns out okay. I understand that the settings the doctor used may cause the side effects. If it hurt alot when they were doing it, that means they used high settings and this could cause side effects like the lumps and indentations I see. If it didn't hurt much, they probably used low settings on you and it will be fine. I doubt it will do much though. They promise alot, but it really doesn't do that much at low settings even with multiple passes. I had it done around my eyes with very low settings, thank goodness. It didn't really change anything. They used high settings on my abdomen - it really hurt when they did it. After three months, the skin on the abs is loose again and I abdomen is all lumpy. I guess the collagen grew back in scattered spots causing the lumpiness. At least this is my best guess. I am trying to find a doctor who can help. Most doctors just don't know what to think about it. Hopefully, Dr. Baumann can help. Good luck.
