There! I put this one up in response to one of my skin care gal pals : Colorado, who says that she enjoyed our former dialogue for those who are age 50 plus.
Peri menopause is a little more inclusive and we may get more chatting going since there is a wide range of ages and we're all dealing with hormonal changes and the effects this has on skin.....AND SKINCARE!

I am 55 yrs. old and will be 56 in January. Can you believe that I just started having the real deal hot flashes and missed a period for the first time!! That's 41 years of periods!
Now that my skin is also going throug a change from an OSNW to a DSNW, I'm am concerned about losing skin texture, clarity, etc. Can't use Renova because of Rosacea.

BUT!! One of my other skin type gal pals, Jerseyshore, has had some nice results with Relastin. Her skin clarity and softness is beautiful to see. I just told her that if I wasn't using Finacea, I'd use Relastin too. Jersey, like me, likes to use as few active products as possible.
And Aspenstar (aka Cyndy) has had lovely results with using lots of EVOO, otherwise known as extra virgin olive oil. Her skin looks marvelous and clear too. She's our "all natural" products girl.

Any ideas or experiences to share?

D 23 - S 52 - N 23 - W 51. Turning 58 in January. My skin is healthier than ever thanks to the skin type solution, avoiding rosacea triggers, healthy diet and lifestyle. Live in Colorado and outdoors a lot, so sun avoidance is difficult and use no less than SPF 30 daily and 60 to 100 outdoors...which is often.Keeping skin barrier intact is a must. Love all my virtual skin friends at STS!
