I'm fairly skeptical about how much diet plays into skin quality or skin issues (like the 'drinking a lot of water is good for your skin' isn't proven, for example), but I wonder if anyone can convince me otherwise.

I have been thinking about decreasing my sugar intake, because I've heard (I believe Dr. Baumann mentions it in the book) that sugar is bad for the skin. I'm very health conscious and don't eat a lot of junk food, but sugar is added to pretty much everything, so I'm going to try significantly reducing it for a week, at least to see if I can do it.

I know some people have mentioned food allergies and reducing the amount of wheat they eat, and that Dr. B recommends eating several servings of fruits & vegetables per day for skin health (you should eat a ton anyway). Anyone eat for their skin?
