I was wondering if anyone out there had ever considered acupuncture/Traditional Chinese Medicine for skin issues?

Let me start by saying I'm not a huge fan of alternative medicine, and the acupuncturist I used during my infertility odyssey didn't inspire confidence. But I have been having issues with pelvic pain and the GYN started talking total hysterectomy, so I ran screaming out of her office! When a friend with the same condition said she'd experienced a lot of relief from acupuncture I thought it couldn't hurt, so I'd give it a try. (This new practitioner is very matter-of-fact, not a hippy-dippy type like the first one I saw.)

I've had one treatment for the pain issues and plan to ask about skin issues at the next treatment. Has anyone tried anything like this? Herbs?

P.S. So the day of my first visit I got my Everyday Minerals free sample kit. Unfortunately the colors didn't look too good but I thought I'd try one anyway. The acpuncturist was looking at me carefully and asking about various symptoms. She said that one of the symptoms of a "blood deficiency" is a bright white face, but she took a closer look and said "Honey, I think you just have the wrong color foundation!"
