I posted this in response to a question about the newsletters, but wanted more folks to consider it:

It would be wonderful if ALL the frequent user of this site (and lurkers) would subscribe to the newsletter at least once. Consider it a small ($30) donation to keep this site available for free and without annoying ads. This way, you would be helping support the site while receiving something of value in return. You would get to read the newsletters for yourself and judge whether to renew your subscription at the end of the year.

I, for one, really enjoy getting the newsletters. I have never had any problem with getting my subscription; it comes right in an email. The newsletters are well-researched and well-written (using just the right amount of terminology -- understandable, yet not too "dumbed down"

There are lots of places to just get product recommendations, but I really crave a good understanding of the science behind things from a trusted source. I have filed away the newsletters that are not of immediate interest to me (like lasers), so that I may refer to them when I am closer to considering the procedure.
The latest newsletter was on stretch marks and would be particularly useful to any of those currently pregnant (or growing/gaining weight)
My favorite newsletter to date was the one on hyperpigmentation/hydroquinone.

I'm going to start a new thread with a suggestion for folks to consider supporting this wonderful free site by subscribing. I'd hate to have to deal with a bunch of aggravating ads that sometimes lock up my system.

Please give me feedback on the laser newsletter that came out last month! The next one is on stretch marks. I have product recs in these but I have to teach you the science as well. I know a few of you have complained about the newsletter. I am baffled as I put a huge amount of effort in these. They are not meant to be the same as Paula Begoin's. It is the only portion of the site that has a fee which covers the costs of the web site guys and the production costs. I am trying to avoid ads as I personally hate ads on a site. Would you prefer a free newsletter and ads on the site? Or should I make a subscription fee for the site? I can always stop doing the newsletter but then I feel you will miss out on the unbiased info!! Who else can you trust to tell you the truth? Please tell me your thoughts.
