This one is a little off the wall but I was just wondering if anyone out there has rosacea and has ever tested positive for excessive intestinal candida? I had a food intolerance test done last week - one of the results was that I had 30% candida in my intestines (average population should have no more than 10% apparently). I'm now on a no/low sugar diet as apparently fungus thrives on sugar - anyway doing google searches suggests that there may be a link between candida and rosacea - has anyone heard of this or also had intestinal candidiasis with rosacea? It's a difficult one to demonstrate a cause and effect with as treatments for rosacea can be longterm antibiotics which will upset natural gut flora and hence increase candida growth within the gut so the candida may arise secondary to treatments for rosacea. However patients with rosacea may then test positive for candida and so false conclusions could be drawn that intestinal candida causes rosacea when in actual fact it's a result of long term antibiotics. If anyone can shed any light on this or give me tips for erradication of intestinal candida I would appreciate it. Thanks
