I've just purchased some Finacea gel from Australia where it's available without prescription, and wanted to get some advice.
Although I've been finding Differin gel to be quite good, I'm still getting some clogged pores and also some breakouts and my skin is becoming even more sensitive (despite using it just 3 times a week and mixing with Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair). The clogged pores and breakouts are most certainly because I've stopped having salicylic and lactic acid peels which were helping keep my pores clear, and I've also been playing around with sunscreens (trying to find the perfect one). I also think that, despite my loving it, the Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser might be a contributor.
So, I'm going to be playing around with my routine a little to see if I can come up with just the right balance. I'm actually going to start with a base of products that I've used successfully in the past and work from there.
Now, on to Finacea. Several people have recommended that I try Finacea as I do have mild rosacea now (which is a huge part of my sensitivity issues I'm sure, not too mention some of the breakouts) and from what I've been reading it could be even better than a retinoid for my skin at this stage.
So, those of you who use Finacea, how often do you use it, how much of it do you use and what side-effects (if any) have you experienced?
Thanks
