If I didn't need my beloved Clinique products, I think I'd avoid department store cosmetic depts. completely.
Why do the SA's want to argue with you when all you want is the products your asking for? I know my skin better than they do, yet time and time again, they try to talk you out of what you know is best for your skin and talk you into something you know is terrible for it?
How knowledgable is someone who would recommend sheer alcohol and menthol laced products for someone with Rosacea? Or talk you out of an extra-gentle mild soap for one that also contains said menthol?
I just want to reach across that stupid counter and extract the products myself instead of enduring the torture I normally have to go through to get them!
