I've been religiously wearing my sunscreen daily for just under 8 weeks now. I'm so glad to have found a sunscreen (Avene High Protection cream SPF20) that doesn't cause me any irritation. I've dabbled with the emulsion, but find it a little too greasy which goes against what everyone else experiences (hey, I'm a tad peculiar ) and the SPF50 leaves a white case on me which doesn't look nice (but would be acceptable for the beach).

The one thing I'm starting to notice though is that as my general complexion is lightening (and I am looking a lot paler) pigmentation spots are much more visible.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm guessing that I'm going to have to find an effective skin lightener to add back into my regimen. I've tried the SkinCeuticals Phyto+ in the past but was using the C+AHA at the time as well so don't know how effective it really was (though it was very effective as an anti-irritant). I've also most recently tried the Clinique Even Better serum which is a great anti-irritant but did nothing for skin tone.

Has anyone got any ideas for an OTC product (or Rx that would be available from Inhouse Pharmacy) that is effective and won't take forever to work?

Thanks
Josh / 41 / male / DSPW-OSPW / Acne and clog prone / sensitive. Switching up my routine as I'm living in a new country (Malta) and the change in climate, water and diet is causing my skin to play up.

Using: La Roche-Posay Lipikar Syndet (AM/PM), distilled witch hazel (AM/PM), Clarins UV Plus HP SPF 40 (AM), Retin-A Gel 0.01% (PM).
