Hi,
I'm new here and an OSPW-type. I read the book last week and I'm hoping to get some advice. I currently just use a cleanser and moisturizer with SPF 15, both designed for sensitive skin (both from Olay). They seemed to be working great but as I hit 33, I noticed my skin looking really dull and a tad "flaky" like I need a good exfoliation. But, with sensitive skin, most exfoliation products I've tried irritate my skin. My experience with Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash was terrible!! I've also noticed some wrinkling and fine lines. I've started using ROC Correxion deep wrinkle serum and it works really well with making my skin look more smooth, radiant and younger (lessening of the fine lines) but after using it for several weeks, only a few times per week, my skin still feels a little irritated. When I first put it on, my face looks a little red and feels a little burned (not dramatically so but a little). When I wake up it feels okay but as the day goes on, I start feeling that slight burned sensation every once in a while. I only use it at night and only a few times per week. My skin looks great but I think this product might be too strong. SO, to my question, finally.

Should I replace the ROC retinol with something more gentle? I've read good things about Olay's Regenerist serum- will it produce the same results as retinol or are they doing 2 different things? I've seen Dr Baumann list both a retinol product and an Olay Regenerist serum for my skin type but are they both necessary or do they do the same thing? And, if the retinol is still bothering me, should I stop now or will it improve? I've read it can take a while for the body to get used to it but this seems kind of long. Is the Regenerist product good for sensitive skin? Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks!!!
