DR. BAUMANN,

THERE HAVE BEEN MANY COMMENTS IN SOME OF THE POSTS ABOUT LARGE PORES. I WAS WONDERING IF THERE IS ONE PARTICULAR INGREDIENT THAT DECREASES PORE SIZE OR IS IT A COMBINATION OF PARTICULAR INGREDIENTS?

THANKS,

Pore size cannot be reduced; they can only be made to look better. Temporarily through makeup and astringents, and more permanently through skincare. If they are clean and not congested, etc., they appear smaller.

THANKS KYLIE, I WAS JUST CURIOUS BECAUSE IT SEEMS AS THOUGH THEY APPEAR SMALLER WHEN YOU USE CERTAIN PRODUCTS.

Absolutely! The "right" products can make a huge difference in appearance.

Hi Karen - I'm no expert, but here's something I picked up from trying different products. I tested slightly oily. About a week after I started using moisturizers (after reading the book), I started noticing that my pores were getting a lot more noticeable. :o I had never seen them look so big! I cut back on the amount of moisturizer I was applying and my big pores returned to normal almost immediately. (I guess too much of a good thing isn't a good idea - I was so excited about my new products that I was loading on the night cream.)

I never realized how too much oiliness/moisturizer could lead to the big pore effect. So maybe cutting back on oily products (either use sparingly or eliminate) would help. HTH!
