The Verdict is in, and the winner is.........

Clinique Even Better

After 3 weeks of applying Even better on one side and Dr. Dover on the other, the Clinique side has faded a lot!
The Dr. Dover has caused 3 large red "rosacea eruptions"!! and on top of that, the spots haven't faded at all!!!
Plus, after going carefully over the Dr. dover ingredient list, here's what I found:
fragrance (why?!)
lactic acid ( a no-no for rosacea)
soybean oil: a 3 out of 5 for comedogenicity
ascorbic acid combined with hydroquinine: Dr. B herself says in the OSPW chapter not to use Vitamin C combined with hydroquinine if you have rosacea (and I would think sensitive skin too)
and finally, I am still concerned about the whole hydroquinine safety issue.

So, in the end, the Dr. dover at $20 vs. the same amount of Clinique at almost $40, is not a bargain! In the long run, I feel I would experience more problems than benefits from the product, so I will finish off the bottle using it on my hands or chest!
