Hi guys,
I have been reading a lot about Vitamin D deficiency and how it affects many people. I decided to have mine checked being I avoid the sun. In the United States the test is called Hydroxy 25. The normal range is 30-100. They say a really good number is about 50-55. My tests came back and my "D" levels were 7.7. Yikes! My doctor wants me to get some sun everyday and take 1200 of Vitamin D every day for 6 weeks. Then, work my way up to 2000 of Vitamin D every day. I will do the supplements, but not the sun.
If you can get the blood test, go for it. Vitamin D dificiency is becoming all too common.
