I need help. I am having the worse time trying to find a sunscreen that doesn't make my face greasy, shiny, and a basic mess. I tried the La Roche Posay that Dr. recommended for my skin type, but she also recommends it for dry skin....I'm a bit confused. If any of you can help me I'd appreciate the suggestions. Thanks.

Maybe try an alcohol-based gel sunscreen if you are that oily? If your skin is not sensitive, that might do the trick.

Cathe, I don't have the book in front of me, but if I recall correctly, the Anthelios XL Fluid Extreme was recommended for oily skin. I think there is also an Anthelios XL Creme, and that was recommended for the drier types. Same Anthelios, just the different formulation (gel vs. creme).

I believe the Anthelios Fluid Extreme is alcohol based for the oiler types.

I went and reread the book recs on the Anthelios and yes, she does seem to recommend this one across the board for many types. But, I think it may be a typo, since in one of the dry skin chapters, she discusses using the cream version in the book text.

Look into the Anthelios XL Fluid Extreme and just make sure it's not the cream version if you're oily. On makeupalley.com, there seem to be a lot of oily types that like the Fluid Extreme.
