I went for my complimentary evaluation last night.
Didn't receive any samples but did get a free facial.
The lady who did it used the Woods light which indicated that I do have some sun spots below the surface that aren't visible to the naked eye. The funny thing is that I have more on the left hand side of my face than the right. I would have thought it would be the other way round as the right side is more exposed when I'm driving.
She was spruiking products from Rationale www.rationaleskincare.com/
and did not stop talking for the whole hour I was there so there was a lot to take in. She did talk about repairing the skin's barrier and said that I had signs of rosacea.
I told her I didn't want Vit C on my face as Dr B recommends it as a no no for OSNWs to avoid redness/inflammation. The lady hadn't heard of the book.
It was more of a soft sell than a hard sell, she gave me some reading material and talked about how the products have been scientifically formulated (I didn't like to say that they all make that claim!) and how the sunscreen contains nanonised zinc oxide.
Some of the products contain some good ingredients but a lot of them seem to have lots of parabens.
I doubt I will be using any of them particularly as the regimen she recommended amounts to AU$710.
Hubby said this morning he didn't know why I bothered going as I have lovely skin (isn't he lovely?).
