Last Saturday I started using Clinique's Mild Liquid Face Soap (a product which I have used successfully in the past).

By Monday I noticed my skin was getting incredibly oily an hour or so after cleansing, and remaining that way for the rest of the day. I tried alternating with Cetaphil gentle cleanser (Cetaphil AM and Clinique PM), same deal.

So 2 days ago I dropped the Clinique cleanser completely and just went back to using Cetaphil together with MAC Cleanse Off Oil to remove my SS (which is what I'd been doing for around a month prior to Saturday) and my skin has returned to normal.

I just wanted to say that using the right cleanser is probably THE most important step in our regimens. Get it wrong and it can really effect how our skin looks, behaves and how other products work.

It's worth keeping that in mind the next time you change serums, moisturisers etc because your skin is *insert problem here*. It may not be the serum or moisturiser, but may in fact be your cleanser

Using: La Roche-Posay Lipikar Syndet (AM/PM), distilled witch hazel (AM/PM), Clarins UV Plus HP SPF 40 (AM), Retin-A Gel 0.01% (PM).
