I went to the doctor this morning. I've been breaking out very bad lately, burning sensation on face. I w diagnosed by a derm with Rosacea but had my doubts that it was what I had.
I had 3 surgeries in the past year and a half and had some strange things happening to me but never made the connection. knee problems, chronic headaches, the weird rashes. Breaking out like a teenager except they were more like carbuncles that never had a head. I have never broken out like this. Yeah, I'd get the occasional hormonal pimple and had a mild case of acne while pregnant. But this has gotten progressively worse since Last February when I went into the hospital for surgical procedure. Well, I got staph. Not sure what strain. But it now it explains a lot. No wonder my skin doesn't respond to anything but in rebellion! So heavy duty anti-biotics. No makeup and the worst...throw away every thing in a jar and makeup. Sucks.
Apparently this kind of infection is getting so rampant in hospitals now that doctors are seeing 4-5 patients a week with it.
The bad thing is I think I passed it on to my mom who is in the hospital with pleurisy (She has cancer). I have to have my house professionally disinfected, carpets cleaned. My dogs, cats and son all have to be treated. I got to tell my boyfriend too, which scares me. We haven't been together for too long. No a good thing to tell the person you love. "Hey, I gave you staph!".
So folks, be aware of strange rashes. Get checked for staph for strange pimple like bumps that may look like a pimple but aren't. I've been thinking for months that I must be allergic to something. Yeah, myself!
