Have your parents and siblings taken the test (or have you analyzed them)?

I've gotten over most of my childhood traumas  ;D but one thing I still resent is that my parents refused my pleas for a visit to the dermatologist while I was still young enough to take Accutane.  My acne was never severe but it was very persistent--I've always felt like I have something going on with my face.  Literally scarred for life, ha!

My dad has very fair, oily skin like I do, but he never had acne.  He's in his 60s and though he has sun damage in the sense of looking "weathered" from the years outdoors, he has no pigmentation issues and almost no wrinkles.  I think he's an ORNT.  My mom has light-to-medium skin that tans nicely but is only just now starting to show wrinkles and dryness.  I think she is a DRPW but was ORPT when she was younger.  My younger sis has lightly oily medium-olive skin that takes a tan but never breaks out, probably an ORPW for her age, given her sun habits.

I have my dad's very fair, very oily skin, but unlike him, I am prone to acne, freckles and sunspots.   I've been so careful about the sun since my dad's cancer in 1986 that I was actually very resentful about falling into Dr. Baumann's "sun worshipper" category!

So, now I am realizing my parents just "didn't get it" when it came to my skin issues.  They've never dealt with being an "S" type and just didn't understand why anyone's skin would be a problem!

So maybe I can finally move on  ;D (with a handful of prescription meds, of course).
