Hi all

In the past couple of weeks I've been looking into IPL, salicylic or glycolic peels to see if I can shift some rather stubborn whiteheads, mainly on my temple areas.

Every single clinic I've spoken with over here has said that they will not do any of those treatments unless I stop using Retin-A for a minimum of 6 weeks prior to treatment and don't resume it for at least 2 weeks after treatment.

I find that really odd as everything I've read online says that Retin-A can actually speed up the healing from cosmetic procedures and given doctors like Dr. Baumann recommend these treatments and don't mention anything about stopping Retin-A, figure that these clinics I'm speaking with are just being overly cautious (which sadly seems to be a growing trend in Britain).

Does anyone have any experience or information on having any of these treatments whilst using Retin-A?

If they are being overly-cautious as I suspect, my inclination is to just not tell them I'm using Retin-A, but I want to be fairly certain that there's not likely to be a problem first.

Thanks in advance for any information/tips you can offer.
