Hi - is there a point to using metrolotion if I'm not sure if I have rosacea? The latest derm I went to said he doesn't think I have it, but I do have redness and stinging, although at the moment it's much improved and pretty much under control. And I am using it twice a day.
From what I gather in the book, Dr. B says it's beneficial for redness and stinging, even if you aren't sure if you have rosacea per se, at least this is what I surmise from what I've read.
Am I correct in my understanding? One thing, metrolotion is allowing me to use a sunscreen - the past couple days I've been doing the following, which for me is amazing:
A.M.
Wash with Clenia rx cleanser (sodium sulfacetamide/sulfur cleanser)
Almond Oil around my eyes
Metrolotion
Purpose Dual Treatment Moisturizer w/SPF 15
P.M.
Cleanse with oils - 25% Castor Oil, 75% Almond Oil mix
Metrolotion
Garden of Wisdom Veggie Base Cream w/Azulene - Love this!!
Every other night - Retin-A Micro - (will be using retin-a cream when it arrives).
So far, so good - having good results, but I think the RAM is what is really helping things. But maybe the metrolotion is also cutting down on sensitivity? Any thoughts? Since I'm not sure if I actually have rosacea, I'm wondering what the benefit of metrolotion is? Am I being too analytical?

Of course, if it's working, I'm sticking with it no matter what.
